I just tried, and yes there's a place where you can set the script of the font, in the last page of properties dialog for the object, but it didn't hold. I set the script to Cyrillic, but when I opened the dialog again, it was back to Western. You may set the script for the whole report to Central European or to Cyrillic, but if you have a mix, ALL of the [s caron], [z caron], [c acute] [d hash] or [c caron] (Michel! How can I even explain which characters? Does everyone have to know Unicode names for characters? I see this page still has content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1", not UTF!) would then show up as Cyrillic too. You may play with the report listener, though - there may be a place in the XML where you could set the script (i.e. codepage) for each object.
