Thanks for the information. My applications are fairly simplistic in that they only provide a reporting tool, albeit with lots of data at amazing speeds! Back to my initial query, do I need to do anything in addition to building the COM DLL to make the appliction multi-threaded ?

Only just got VS6 in the Uk and already talk of the service pack - will kepp an eye out for it.
