>>>>>>>>>>Well, Tommy, I went to bed last night expecting to get up to a tempurature of 31 below (celcius) known as minus 31 here, but I was delightfully surprised. When I checked the tempurature, is was only minus 29 :) So, it's going to be a good day. I am looking for a seventeen pound Christmas Haggus and some haggus sauce to go with it, so I'll be smiling as I shop for it today. :))

>>>>>>>The Sacramento county received a light dusting for the first time since the mid-70s. We've had a couple other light snows but nothing that's actually stuck. I haven't seen any snow on the ground downtown but I did see some in the surrounding countryside on my way to work. At my home it snowed for about 40 minutes this morning but nothing stuck.

>>>No problem building a snowman here today. It's been snowing since last night. About 8 inches. And its getting COLD!
>>
>>It is all relative. We havn't been above 0F since Sunday. Single digits above 0 will feel balmy! It has been so cold that snow is like sugar. Great for skiing, lousy for snowmen.

>Our snow is powder too. Kids will make snowmen anyway - just takes more effort!!

>I had to pull an SUV and a truck out of a snowdrift that was across one of the state roads I had to use to get to work this morning. It's fun to be able to rescue some dork in a nice shiny HUGE Caddilac SUV (whatever the model of the thing) using my 12 yr old Dodge Dakota. I didn't mince words telling him that he either needs to learn how to drive or wait for nice dry sunny days. he turned around and headed home.
>
>Then I proceeded to drive over the snowdrift and continue on to work!

I remember years ago, when I had the early morning shift, after a huge snow dump and a fowl wind, driving my old dodge monaco as it punched holes in the drifts. Of course in those days cars were made of iron and had engines with some hefty torque. :))
I ain't skeert of nuttin eh?
Yikes! What was that?
