>As oppose to a Word object, the property Object.Content is not available for a XLS and a PDF file. The Object.Content can be used to extract only the text portion of a general field when its content is a Word file. I still have to remove the CHR(1), CHR(7) and CHR(12) characters, but it works. However, when I want to extract the content of a XLS object as well as a PDF object, I do not have that property. How can we know what are the properties available for various types of objects?

The 'Object' represents a COM server responsible for particular document in the general field. The properties will vary depending on the application associated with the document.
