The current problem I am facing is similar to the one described in Thread 1409187, but not totally identical.

Introduction:
Application is a stable, legacy Visual FoxPro/Visual FoxExpress. Actually the behavior below is seen in some of the forms in two separate VFP/VFE applications. Both of these applications are in full production use, and the forms exhibiting this behavior are the main forms in the applications, which have not been modified in ages.

Observations:
1.) On my development machine only, I am encountering issues with the entire forms' content either not being displayed at all (just a white background), or appearing initially and then vanishing (replaced by a white background) upon the first mouse click to any control.

2.) The above behavior appears in multiple forms in each application (but not in all forms) and is therefore not a form-specific issue.

3.) Due to recent uninstalling of programs and subsequent clearing out of orphaned registry entries, many registry entries were deleted. I believe the time to be significant and do believe this may somehow be related.

4.) The above behavior occurs regardless of how I run the applications (design mode v. via the EXE).

5.) Reinstalling VFP9 and SP2 did nothing (I did not first uninstall VFP).

6.) For those of you that know VFE, this behavior also affected the VFE Application Manager--though not always.

7.) I want to say that a common factor for the forms that exhibit this behavior is there being a grid somewhere on the form, but not sure that's 100% true, and do see some forms with grids that do not have this problem.


Going to keep troubleshooting, but figured I'd reach out in case someone has seen this behavior. Note: If the above is unclear please let me know.
