Actually, it is very developer friendly. I work with Forms and Reports on a daily basis and am learning APEX in my off hours and I can truthfully state that the two products are completely different. Give it a try for yourself. To see some of the websites designed using APEX type this in Google

inurl:pls/apex

I think you will be surprised.

Regards,

>Oracle Application Express (APEX) is a great web tool if you have table and you want the user to do add/edit/delete and minor changes. other than that it is not developer friendly at all. I am not sure how much Forms changed but years ago it was horrible compared to VFP.

>>You could use Oracle Application Express. It is a free tool from Oracle that allows you to create a web-based application. Details can be found here:

>>>I have oracle database and question is what language to use for user interface: oracle forms/reports or vfp forms/reports?
>>>Please, I need argumented posts why oracle or why vfp (speed of programming, data input, data updating, reports etc.).
>>>Exporting data to MS word templates and changing those documents after mail merge or MS excel is essential.
