I realised that the problem was the WindowType setting but I couldn't figure out a way of getting my new form to have a window type setting of "READ" or "READ MODAL". You can't set it in the form designer to anything except "MODAL" or "MODELESS" and you can't set it programmatically either. Your response made me realise that the window setting was the area to concentrate on though and I came up with a solution. It's a bit cheesy but it works. What I did was to open one of the old forms that the converter had operated on (and already had a window type of 3). I then deleted everything from the form and saved it as a blank template. I can then use this as a READ compatible form template whenever I need to add new forms to this system and it works a treat.

Problem Solved.

Thanks anyway.
