It is a tool of the debugger that allows looking at datatables, views, etc while debugging. If you have a dataset you can see the current data in any of its tables, for example. Not sure why one would want to call it programatically as it could only be used in debug mode anyway an it is quite easy to just put a breakpoint where you want to see the state of the data. It really isn't meant for display to an end user. ( I know Kevin knows that so I'd be interested to hear what he has in mind)

Though a good deal is too strange to be believed, nothing is too strange to have happened.
- Thomas Hardy
Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.
-- T. S. Eliot
Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch.
Liberty is a well-armed sheep contesting the vote.
- Ben Franklin
