Can anyone recommend an accounting system for wholesale distribution?

Invoicing is done in the office as well as from trucks that carry an inventory on board. Key thing is to streamline operations and control by using handhelds for invoicing right from the truck and barcode readers for loading the trucks. Needs to be affordable for a relatively small operation.
