VS2002 with .NET 1.0 was sooooo buggy, I can't imagine you want to stay with it. VS2003 and .NET 1.1 was a vast improvement. When I started with .NET, I started with 1.0 (this was back in 2002) and very quickly went to 1.1 because of how buggy 1.0 was ... especially where ADO.NET was concerned ... so, it could very well be that 1.0 is just not going to work with SQL 2005. I can't tell you that definitively though.
However, I assume one of the reasons you're asking is because you don't want to upgrade your apps to 1.1? It's a fairly painless upgrade, if I recall.
