>CEO Ralph de la Vega, is blaming network users for network congestion and poor service quality!!!...and to ease the resulting strain on its network, the carrier wants to...(ahem)...encourage its customers to throttle back on YouTube, live-streamed radio, and other media-rich apps.

>Needless to say stuff like this really ticks me off. AT&T sells PDA's and iPhones - then blames their network problems on the fact that too many people are using the devices they sell? Like how dumb is that?

>Currently there is an underground movement called Operation Chokehold, and it’s designed to encourage iPhone() owners to use the most data-intensive apps for a full hour starting at 12 p.m. PST on Friday, December, 18, 2009. The ultimate goal being to bring down the network and “send the message to AT&T that we are sick of their substandard network and sick of their abusive comments.”
>...so if anyone is on ATT feel free to stream a movie or something this Friday...
