I am trying to configure VFP 8 to work with Team Foundation Server for VS 2008, which we are using here. My goal is to be able to generate useful SCA files which will show what changed when a form is updated. The folks I am working with were not aware of the function of SCA files and have been relying on check-in comments to tell them what changed. Call be suspicious minded but I would rather look at the code than someone's description of it <g>.

I have downloaded the MSSCCI source control provider and set it up as the default in VFP / Tools / Options / Project. Where I seem to be running into trouble is that the project is already set up in TFS. VFP doesn't know anything about the TFS project. With VSS the SCA file was updated when it was checked in from within VFP (did not work if checked in from VSS). I assume the same is true with TFS. However, with the project not added to source control from VFP -- which I am very reluctant to do for fear of hosing the existing project -- there is no option in VFP to check the form back in. Any suggestions?

FWIW, here are some useful links I found while researching this ---

The last one includes a hyperlink for the TFS Power Tools, which look interesting. I know some of them won't be useful with VFP, as disassociated from VS as it is, but others might be useful for team collaboration.
