Yeah, figured as much, but just wanted to be sure. I need to follow up with them on the AV thing. I looked at the indexes this morning. All the indexes are there and it was reindexed just a couple of days ago. But I think their tech guy did that via a reindex command, so I think I'll delete and rebuild them completely. It's odd that it ran fine on the old server, but not on the new one. Of course, the tables it seems to be related to are large. 5 or 6 million records in one. Some large amount in the other, but I'm not sure how many right off-hand.

It could also be a network stack issue, I suppose. Perhaps there's a bottleneck at the NIC or elsewhere. Thanks for the reply.

>If VFP tables, there is nothing that runs on the server, so the issue won't be 32-bit compatability mode. AV is a possibility. When was the last time the index tags were rebuilt.

>>I have an app I created for a client that has been in place for a number of years. Network performance has always been good. They recently moved from a 32-bit server (Win2003) to a 64-bit server (Win2003 R2 64-bit). Performance, at least on one form, has gone down. The app runs on WinXP and Vista workstations in 32-bit (no 64-bit OSs on the desktop). When accessing the files via the server, I wouldn't think the 32-bit compatibility mode comes into play, but I'm not sure, since VFP is running on the workstation. However, a possible slowdown due to 32-bit compatibility crossed my mind. I'm having them double-check on the AV software and whether it's scanning VFP files. Also, the OpLocks setting needs to be checked. But . . . does anyone have any other ideas or have you experienced a similar issue. The indexes are all there. Have been for quite some time and still are. That's not an issue.
