>First of all, I want to know who the idiot "analysts" quoted in the article who think Access will disappear because of this. Jet I can see, but how will SQL Server replace Access?

>The answer to your question is really that it doesn't. Ever since Microsoft acquired Fox Software their main goal for FP has been to kill off competitors and sell to existing Fox programmers. Yes, VFP 6.0 has better COM support but it's still a long way from being a great middle-tier solution. I think you'll see MS continue to push Access as an end-user tool, VB as a developer tool, and SQL Server as a data store. Jet will probably disappear and VFP will continue to get limited support as long as there's enough of a market for it.

And your 'idiot' is: Jon Cornetto!
