>It's time for me to step away from the UT again, at least for a while. Meaning by that some duration longer than the last time. I feel right back where I was before, only employed. The passing of the personal financial crisis does not excuse falling into old bad habits.

>Holy moley, $5.79? Here is my personal holiday deal. The first 10 people who respond to this email, mailing address included, get it free. Two day shipping. I buy so much stuff from Amazon their annual express shipping deal is a bargain for me.

>Back to the movie. It's no surprise to those who know me that I love the movies. Not all of them; lots of the old ones are artificially fake and badly dated. And many of the new ones are aimed directly at the frontal lobes of teenagers. But there are still keepers.

>"Body Heat" is one of my favorites, a keeper for 25 years now. It is a perfectly crafted movie IMO. It is a film noir set in south Florida during a heat wave. William Hurt and Kathleen Turner are the leads. (Brilliant in supporting roles: Richard Crenna and the young actors Mickey Rourke and Ted Danson). IMO everything about it is brilliant -- the plot, the acting, the music, the atmosphere that makes you feel like you are in that Florida heat wave. It is justifiably remembered for the red hot scenes between Ned and Matty but there is so much more to it than that.

Interestingly enough, when the movie was shot, it was very cold. They had to splash the actors to make it seem they were sweating. They were all freezing to death.

One of the great movies though.
