IMO everything about it is brilliant -- the plot, the acting, the music, the atmosphere that makes you feel like you are in that Florida heat wave. It is justifiably remembered for the red hot scenes between Ned and Matty but there is so much more to it than that.

Interestingly enough, when the movie was shot, it was very cold. They had to splash the actors to make it seem they were sweating. They were all freezing to death.

One of the great movies though.
