Yeah, that is exactly what I did. I just couldn't find any way to fix it. What happened was that I tried to unistall VS 2010 Beta 2 and ended up removing more things than I should have, which caused some Windows issues. I hosed it up, in other words. There was only one thing left to do. Start over. So, I did a CLEAN installation of Windows 7 Home Premium and it made all the difference in the world. I had to, of course, reinstall any software that I wanted to use, all over again. It took me two or three days to get most of it done. VS 2008 and SQL Server 2008 were easy installs after that. I couldn't get SQL Server 2005 to install at all, so I finally gave up on it and went only with SQL Server 2008.
