I'm using the Mere Mortal Maintenance form and added some custom sorting to the data grid. I've added the mmButtonNew and when I click on the button, it does create a new record, but when it switches to the details Tab the record displayed is not the new record. When I go back to the tab containing the Grid, the new record is at the top, but that is not the record I have selected.

Now I admit that my custom sorting may be playing games. But what I really wanted to know is how to access the mmButtonNew event? When I try adding the event I get a message in Visual Studio telling me that the "Handles Clause requires a WithEvents variable defined in the containing type or one of its base types." and the program won't run.

Essentially I would like access the event so at completion it selects the new record in the grid which would alleviate my problem and retain the sorting I'm doing. I've checked the documentation but I have found no mention of how to "hook" into this event.

Has anyone been able to do this, and if so, how?
