Have you ever read anything by Garrison Keillor? He is an American humorist and writer who lives in Minnesota, of Norwegian descent. Best known for the radio show "A Prairie Home Companion." He pokes gentle fun at the country of his ancestors, for instance his recurring references to "the Norwegian bachelor farmers." One of my favorites, delivered during a radio show during the peak of winter, was that when his people left Norway it never occurred to them to migrate south; they headed straight for Minnesota. (And Wisconsin).
