Yes, I think it may be better to re-write VFP logic into T-SQL, if possible. If it's some complex functionality, in SQL Server 2005 and up you can create CLR function/sp/ or trigger. I didn't try myself, but we have a project that implemented CLR for getting a Hebrew birthday (in Hebrew calendar).
