Unless there are specific laws that allow the military or government to bypass that law, they could be opening up a can of worms.

Even so, for most of my time, I didn't wear a uniform and they didn't tell me what to do, because they didn't really know what I did!

>>>Jeez. Grady, thanks for that.

>Knowledge may not be the best word here. You know you are one of my favorite people on the UT but I don't quite get your antipathy toward Muslims. I honestly do believe most of them (99+%?) are peaceful. Nothing in the Koran says go out and slaughter those who disagree with you. This does not deny that a certain number are indeed zealots, terrorists. A recent story in the NY Times documents that there are still more Islamic terrorists in the U.S. than any of us should be comfortable with. But you're still painting with a pretty broad brush.

Oops - I don't deny any man the religion of his choice. Religion is between a man (or like minded people) and his/their God. It is a personal, peaceful guide for life and dealing with others in a peaceful manner. However, when the religion takes the high road and enforces 'the law' (In this case, Sharia Law) and kills a person by stoning, then the entire reason for that religion comes into question. Instead the religion should council the transgressor, if he agrees, so that that transgressor becomes a better person. A religion killing its followers is completely illogical. The test? Taken to it's maximum application, that is, that all the followers commit adultery, then by that law, all the followers shall be put to death thus erasing the religion from the face of the earth. Therefore, forgiveness and the restoration of the transgressor to a better life is the correct and logical path. I support that correct path. Murder, in any form, is hideous. Indeed, lopping off body parts for petty crime is morbid as well. I hope that explains it better to you and others who might have been thinking along the same line Mike.
I ain't skeert of nuttin eh?
Yikes! What was that?
