Actually, the first thing I would do is send me an e-mail describing the kind of functionality you need and see if it's the sort of functionality I would add in for you and the benefit of others.
That said, the business object is a great candidate for a hook object. Again, if you let me know what you have in mind, I can better suggest an implementation.
*That* said, in most cases I recommend disabling the business object and replacing it with your own. We originally placed the bizobj on the form for the sake of convenience, but for a true n-tier application, you most likely have business objects in your application that can and should do the job instead.
