Considering that before the season I thought the Broncos would be worse than that Chiefs, I think Denver ended up pretty good, even out of the playoffs. The question I've been thinking about is, did they do any better with Kyle Orton and Josh McDaniels than they would have with Jay Cutler and Mike Shanahan. But I also keep reminding myself that about four years ago I said the Broncos would always be a mediocre team under Shanahan.

>Two months ago, who would have thought that the 6-0 Broncos would be choking like Elizabeth Taylor on a piece of chicken bone...

>To all you Denver fans....sure, my KC Chiefs suck (though they're going to ruin Denver this weekend)....but at least I KNOW they are terrible! :)

>Amazingly, Denver could still get in if they lose this Sunday, but they'd need for four other teams to lose.

>AFC is nuts this year....there have been years where 10 wins left you out in the cold (KC, 10-6 in 2005, missed the playoffs)....yet you could have teams making the playoffs with 8 wins....which also happens to be the possible Carolina win total this year. If John Fox had any brains, he would have ordered Steve Smith to punch Jake Delhomme in the nose MONTHS ago, to get him out of the lineup.
