I have to agree with John. (OMG, I am twitching. My entire body is twitching!! LOL). Not much was expected of the Broncos this year. It surprises me less that they have been losing lately than that they got off to the 6-0 start.

Things sure have taken a turn this month, haven't they? All season it looked like there were three dominant teams -- Colts, Saints, Vikings -- and then everyone else. Now the Saints and Vikings look deeply vulnerable and the Colts have raised questions about themselves by showing no interest in a perfect record. If you had to pick a team at this point it might just be the Chargers. They started 2-3 and haven't lost since. We have seen many times that the team which wins the Super Bowl is the one that peaks at the right time, even if they banged around earlier.

>Two months ago, who would have thought that the 6-0 Broncos would be choking like Elizabeth Taylor on a piece of chicken bone...

>Amazingly, Denver could still get in if they lose this Sunday, but they'd need for four other teams to lose.

>AFC is nuts this year....there have been years where 10 wins left you out in the cold (KC, 10-6 in 2005, missed the playoffs)....yet you could have teams making the playoffs with 8 wins....which also happens to be the possible Carolina win total this year. If John Fox had any brains, he would have ordered Steve Smith to punch Jake Delhomme in the nose MONTHS ago, to get him out of the lineup.
