I have a folder "c:\windows\fonts", with lots of fonts in it. I believe it is sufficient to copy a TTF file (or a group of related TTF files, like "Arial", "Arial Bold", "Arial Italic", and "Arial Bold Italic") to this folder, without any special registration.
