I had a pretty decent NYE. No date and no wife, which is the sucky part. But it didn't bother me not being out among the revelers and I did not use the occasion as an excuse to drink. So it was all right. It's nice to start the new year without a throbbing headache.

Actually I logged on to rant about college football, it being New Year's Day and all. There will be a thread coming up, which I hope you join.

PS -- I read in Entertainment Weekly and was told by my daughters that "District 9" is pretty good. Usually sci-fi does not engage me but I will give it a whirl on Netflix.
