It's been like this for at least a decade. You probably forgot.

Though it would be nice if the "paying members only" would be displayed sooner, or the icon was disabled. Not hidden, though - you'd never know it was there and Michel wouldn't have a way to motivate freebie members into paying.

I'm paying for years, and it's getting more and more valuable as the number of messages grow - we're approaching 1.5 million now. Even if you discard the amount of useless chatter (to which I'm contributing selflessly), the wealth of information is worth it.

Though I'm finding it less useful, only recently and related to what I do, because the problems that can be solved in this way are the ones I already know of, most of the time, and the new ones I run into are just too original and nobody wrote about them. But that's Fox, there's always new stuff to explore.
