Looks like I was last active here back in November 2004.
Out of curiosity I did a search only to find that the results page is a solicitation for $99. I do not particularly care to know when the transition to a "profit only" mode occurred, but it presses my buttons that the search button is even available, followed by the search criteria form, THEN you get to see you've been wasting your time.
Pathetic. Houston, first, as far back as I can recall, that's been the behavior.
I think the UT's model here is fair - you can come up here for free, post questions, and get answers from different people (some of whom are Fox/SQL/.NET MVPs). If you want to search through years of archives, you have to pay. If it's something that you'd use even twice a year to search for previous solutions, the $99 would pay for itself. Michel Fournier has invested a substanial amount of time maintaining the UT over the years.
If you think that's "pathetic", ok, that's your opinion, but I don't share that view.
