I don't know what world you live in but in the one I live in things are a lot more nuanced than that. None of the right wing pinatas you name are without benefit. Without lawyers, who would defend the unfairly accused? Without unions, what would protect workers from the despotic whims of employers? Without bureaucrats, what would keep the trains running on time? All these institutions arose out of necessity.

Please understand I am not excusing the excesses of any of them. "Mistakes were made." My point is these are not the only groups who have messed up. Far from it.

I bet you didn't mind when government intervention pulled us off the edge of the cliff a year ago when reckless bankers nearly sent us into a worldwide depression.
