This guy just flipped out and said he would take his business elsewhere since we were so expensive (which we were not by any means). The surprise to me was he used my app for 22 years with no issues, then chocked over a couple hundred bucks. There is just no way to understand a person who is rude like this. As a side note, the company he switched to is already out of business.
I hear ya <s>. Some people are just penny wise and pound foolish. When I tell a perspective client that my hourly rate is $120 per hour, many of them get sticker shock. What they don't understand is that if they hire Joe Blow at $25 per hour and it takes him 6 hours to accomplish something that I can in 1 hour, who is really more expensive?
My current clients think that they are getting great value for the money they spend. I have, on occassion, had a client or two that started complaining and moaning about my invoices and what I did in those cases was to fire the client. I do not want to work for anyone that does not think that they are getting great value for the money.
