Just to reiterate that as soon as Interpol does *anything* in the USA, it's actually the FBI or Police doing it. Not James Bond. Interpol cannot coerce or force the FBI to act and the FBI is *not* protected from discovery just because it acts on information provided by Interpol, meaning that whatever information is provided to the FBI to persuade it to act *is* available to the citizen via Discovery. People just can't access the whole international dossier that only exists in the US at all because nations want to co-operate via an entity called Interpol.

Seems to me that people who might try to subvert law via Obama's change are more than capable of it already- something that worried people seem determined to ignore. Also there is an issue of reciprocity: if the US wants to access standardized surveillance in other countries, which it clearly does, then the US cannot leave gaping holes in its own laws to allow exposure. I gave an earlier example and asked whether nations can be expected to share if discovery can be forced. Is there an answer? That's not directed at you, more at people who answer every point by restating their fear that durty furriners will be seizing decent Americans off the streets because of Obama.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
"
