Good to see that Microsoft still has a few copies left, but I'll bet it's just like resellers...once the inventory is gone, it's gone.
If you're relying on VFP to make a living, you owe it to yourself and your customers to catch up on what's happening in the community. VFP itself will never be open source as Microsoft will not release the source code. What *is* open source is all the utility programs, and the VFP code that is part of VFP. Look at
http://vfpx.codeplex.com.
Why do you need VFP on your customer's computers? Why can't you just use your own copy?

It also looks like this is independent of an MSDN subscription? The vfp 'upgrade' was out of stock. I wonder how long before VFP itself will be out of stock?

>As an AccountMate reseller, I can't just have my own development copy of VFP. I need to have a copy on my client's servers or local machines so I can create utility routines, fix data, etc. For existing customers I'm covered, but how do I handle a new customer?
