Runtime COMPILE command is available since VFP6SP3.


>David -- why not add a command window to your application and protect it for your use only. There are a few great command prompt utilities out there (I think there is one here at UT -- look for downloads.) If you are using VFP9, you can create programs and compile them without needing the VFP environment at all. If you are using an earlier version of VFP, you can still use the command window to do data maintenance, run queries, etc. Now THERE's a real power tool you get with an interpreted language like VFP.
