After posting this I did a Google search on "install font programmatically". Number 4 on the hit parade was "How to programmatically install a True Type font in Visual FoxPro" (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/1867). Further down the list were articles on how do do this Using VB, ASP.NET, etc. VFP lives somewhere.

Since I want to install bar code fonts this does not help me (I think).
