January: NSlim and FitNesse: The Robot Killer

One of the keystones of the Agile Methods is automated testing. In Agile Projects requirements are expressed as executable tests. These tests are written in a high level language that is easily understood by business analysts and stakeholders. The tests are written by collaboration between the business analysts, QA, and the developers. These tests are accumulated on an intranet site and can be run by any project stakeholder at any time. The number of tests passing gives a clear indication of what is working, what isn't working, and how much progress the team is making on a day to day basis.
In this talk the speaker demonstrates FitNesse, an open source tool for organizing, expressing and executing acceptance tests. He describes the process for writing and executing these tests, and discusses the experiences of teams that are using this approach.
