Thanks for the suggestion -- just got the running with call to DwmGetWindowAttribute(), now going over the results to make sense of it all. Do you recall if there is anything that returns the height of the status bar (the one in VFP main window)? Did notice that it appears to be 24 pixels in height, but not sure if it's always that height or not (haven't checked to see if it varys with DPI setting for display).
