I don't know generally. My boys complained about their lockers being out of the way (which, in fact, they were) and it being too much trouble to leave their coats. For the same reason, they carried way too much in their backpacks.

By senior year, Nathaniel had it worked out. He was in good with the choral teacher, and the choir room was right by the entrance from the parking lot, so he used that room as his locker. <g>
