Do you need to know the exact number of pages in your report so you can put that on the page? If so, then you will need to print the report FIRST to a file, store the _pageno variable and use that in the next report. Please note that you send the report to a file as if you were printing it, you do not preview it. That will give you the exact number of pages.

There isn't another way to do it that we know of
