that sounds like my last and only resort. i don't want to print since these are schedules and i only want each to align to new page so i'm not sure if chr(12) will accomplish this.

a new problem just arose however that makes all this moot - i found there is a limitation on the size of the text to about 14 pages in document form which cuts my file down to roughly half of what i need. is there another way to input the text into document other than typetext. i think i may have to solve that one first.
