It was not really a solution per se; I just found a stupid mistake on my part. You know when you create a new stored procedure in SSMS, the template has a sample/default code like this:
SELECT <@Param1, sysname, @p1>, <@Param2, sysname, @p2>
And I forgot to erase it. So my SP was returning two tables. The good thing (aside from the fact that I have not lost my mind completely) was that I now know how easy it is to return more than one table from a stored procedure.
