You'd be surprised to learn that the local news programs have improved since I was last here. A couple of them anyway. The local fox station actually has the best (most professional) news. Following that is probably CBS. The other two are so bad as to be comical. It is really, really sad how terrible they still are! I don't think anyone not here would really understand how bad they are. The last time I watched such poorly done news programs was in Grand Junction in the late 70s (when there was only one station) before the other stations moved in and brought $ for better programming and sets and salaries. At that time I knew the guy who ran the control and sound boards there and they paid him minimum wage and he said the equipment he used from worse than he had in high school and not even close to what he used in college.


>Sounds about normal. When I lived in Greensboro, NC many years ago, sports reports would start with NC, then Duke, NC St. and finally WF. When they reported on the new polls, it was always the top 5 and ranked ACC. The only thing that got bigger billing was NASCAR. When Richard Petty retired, it was the top story on the news, not just the sports report.
