Follow-up....my memory isn't as good as I thought it was - what was the name of the album where Sonny Rollins played with Oscar Peterson? I cannot seem to locate it. I have one where Sonny Stitt played with Oscar, but not Sonny Rollins. Thanks.


Tonight I listened to 2 Pat Metheny CDs....his very first one from back in 1975, and his most recent Pat Metheny Group CD from 2005....what's amazing to me is how GOOD his early material sounds. If you ever get a chance to listen to listen to the track San Lorenzo from his first album, it is stunning. It sounds more like music someone was building TOWARDS. The man is unreal. As much as he credits Wes Montgomery, he is so far beyond Wes. (And I love Wes!)
