I saw one at EPS Software Corporation and got to play on it for a while. It was not setup in a "real world" environment and was running a bunch of apps that I believe came with the unit. I also believe that they were developing apps for it and one of them was to allow every issue of CODE magazine to be displayed as if it were on a coffee table. I never saw that particular app running though.

I don't have any answers for your other questions, but I do know that $10000 for "a big iPod Touch" is too much for me :)
