Do you allow sorting? You can use DynamicBackColor and use recno()=1 as your condition assuming you're using a cursor and you're not sorting.

Also, if you have many records, and you want to show each top record in a different color when you scroll the grid, I don't know how to achieve such functionality. Perhaps we can have a transparent shape at the top?
