VPM is one of those frameworks that are so well designed and extensible that I am STILL using it almost daily. Like Hank and many others, I have extended the original framework way beyond what it can do out of the box, and I don't see chucking it anytime soon. VPM is one of the best programming investments (time & money) that I have ever made.
