Hi Jose, I can tell you about postgres, it has been a pleasure to work with it. I can't tell you if it's better or worst than SQL Server, but I switch from SQL Server to Postgres and both products are very similar. Also the Postgres Open Source community it's very professional and they give great support, and to make thing even better Postgres it's completely Free!!!
