>Hello,

>I am hoping someone can help me. I have a customers application that they have been using for 3 years, over the last 6 months searching data searches have gotten very slow. The data is located on a Windows 2003 server, the largest table is on 8 meg. When a single user is accessing the data the search takes less then 2 seconds, however if more then one person is in the database the searches can take up to 45 seconds.

You could try temporarily disabling antivirus on both the server and the workstation(s), to see if that makes a difference. If it does, you could experiment with excluding VFP file types and the temp files folder from antivirus real-time scanning.
