In parts of Switzerland it is against the law to flush the toilet or take a shower after ?10:30pm. If you do, the Police will come. No I am not joking.
This may seem extreme at first, but IMHO life has become so complex and we are so overwhelmed with choice that society in general is becoming unhappy. With so much choice it is so much more difficult to be satisfied. Maybe it is a proper role for society to remove some choices so we don't have to worry about so much.
