Hi Moises,

You need a voice-card to do this, not a modem, although some Zyxel modems had voicemail capabilities.

Dialogic was, I think, the first company to make these cards, and they used to be quite expensive.

Another option is an open-source pbx system, but you still need the hardware to handle the incoming calls (look-up pbx in wikipedia; I remember seeing something about this).

And if you have some $300 or $400 to spare, you could probably get a used Bizfon system in ebay that does all of this and works with regular phones. (Look for pbx in ebay.)
