>Snakes also known as Garter Snakes (Thamnophissirtalis) can be dangerous. Yes, grass snakes, not rattlesnakes. Here's why.

Everything's bigger in Texas, even this story. Back in the sixties, it was much simpler (and I heard it from the folks who lived on 1st floor - this happened on 3rd):

Wife was nagging her husband to fix the kitchen sink. He eventually got a guy to come and do it, around 14:00 the next day.

At the scheduled time, the wife saw that she needed something from the grocery across the street, so she went to get it and left the door unlocked, if the guy comes, which she doubted - the plumbers are unreliable everywhere. But the guy did come, guessed the lady had stepped out, and went to work. When she returned, she found him lying on his back, his head deep under the sink. Accidentally, the guy had identical trousers to those of her husband's, and she thought it was him, having come earlier from work to fix the sink. As they usually do, she tickled his balls.

The guy was completely surprised, and his reflexes tried to get him up - which resulted in a serious bump, head against the metal plumbing. Only then she realized this was not her husband, called the ambulance (luckily, the hospital is just a mile down the street), the guys came quickly and put him on a stretcher. While they carried him downstairs, they heard the story and laughed so hard that they dropped the guy and his hand broke. They eventually got him to the hospital.
