I don't know whether it's Firefox or UT which makes this not look as expected. But I notice that when you use a capital B to create bold text, I see the tags and no bold text. However, a lower case b seems to work fine. To test it and/or prove this, I will create two different tag sets, one with b and one with B.
This tag uses lowercase
b and this uses upper case
B.
Update: Weird, my test works as expected on my browser, Firefox 3.6, but not your message.
